Good Practice Element 7 – Matches

Suggested evidence

In addition to self-assessing your Homeshare scheme against the Homeshare UK Quality Assurance Framework you will also be asked to provide a range of evidence that demonstrates you are able to meet the requirements of this element.

You are required to either upload relevant documents and/or provide clear and concise narrative that explains how your organisation is working to achieve the requirements of the Quality Assurance Framework.

Please note your scheme must be able to demonstrate that they fully meet the Good Practice and Sound Process section of the element to meet baseline standards of the Quality Assurance framework.

For this element suitable evidence might include:

  • your matching and re matching processes 
  • your template Homeshare agreement
  • the matching process is outlined in Homeshare and Householder information packs
  • written risk assessment and management procedures for matching and re matching
  • decisions made during matching and re matching is documented
  • a process of regular feedback from participants that asks them their experiences of being matched and supported during the initial few months of the Homeshare.

We would also like you to share evidence in relation to this element that will support learning for the network and key stakeholders interested in developing or supporting Homeshare:

  • reports or evaluation of your scheme that documents the number of current matches, Current % of people matched within 4 months of registering, Current % of matches which last over six months, Current average length of match and Current % of registered participants who drop out due to not finding a match (Please note that there will also be opportunity to share this information in the annual Homeshare Survey conducted by Homeshare UK)
