Quality Assurance Framework (self-assessment)

Good Practice Element 6 – Assessment

last modified on 24 October 2016

The Householder, Homesharer and the property need to be assessed to establish if they are suitable for participation in a Homeshare arrangement.

It’s important to fully understand the expectations, motivation and general attitude of the potential Homesharer.

The Householder needs to be assessed in relation to the level and type of support they need, their expectations and the suitability of their property.

For this element of good practice you will need to demonstrate that you are able to consistently and effectively assess:

  • The suitability and the needs of the Householder
  • The suitability of the property
  • The expectations and requirements of the Homesharer
  • The ongoing needs of both the Householder and the Homesharer.
