last modified on 24 October 2016

Guidance notes

Being able to deliver your scheme without the need for underpinning grant or loan funding is key to sustainability.

A sustainable scheme is often perceived as having longevity and this may give your scheme more credibility with potential participants, health and social care professional and organisations who may refer or signpost participants to you scheme.

For this element of Good Practice you will need to demonstrate that the scheme is:

  • Actively planning and managing its business and is moving towards being sustainable
  • That you have a Business Plan and Budgets for operation that are regularly reviewed and revised
  • The pricing for your scheme is appropriate for the geographical area, scope of delivery and level of resource that it needs to operate.
